REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS

  • Won a defense verdict in a three-day jury trial in Shelby County Circuit Court in a case where the plaintiff alleged the defendant’s 75-foot truck negligently executed a left hand turn in front of the plaintiff. In closing argument, plaintiff’s counsel asked for at least $100,000 in damages.  After deliberating for less than two hours, the jury returned a verdict for the defense.
  • Obtained a defense verdict in a six-day jury trial in the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee in a case where the plaintiff alleged he was struck by a forklift and knocked off a loading dock. In closing argument, plaintiff’s counsel asked for at least $500,000 in damages.  After deliberating for a couple hours, the jury returned a verdict for the defense.
