Mr. Ogletree’s current litigation is primarily focused in the areas of medical malpractice (Healthcare Liability) and professional malpractice defense. Mr. Ogletree’s construction law practice is focused on representing architects, engineers, contractors, and surveyors in a wide variety of construction litigation matters. Mr. Ogletree also has experience with commercial and business litigation, general insurance defense litigation, and commercial transportation litigation. He is licensed to practice law in both Tennessee and Alabama.
Mr. Ogletree is a graduate of Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. Mr. Ogletree also obtained his Master of Business Administration from Samford University’s Brock School of Business concurrently with his law degree. Mr. Ogletree earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Alabama, where he also minored in History. During his undergraduate studies, Mr. Ogletree was a congressional intern in Washington, D.C. for then United States Senator Richard Shelby of Alabama. In his spare time, Mr. Ogletree enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing golf, and going duck hunting during season.

REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS
- Obtained a defense verdict in favor of an urgent care physician in a two-week wrongful death healthcare liability trial in Montgomery County Circuit Court. The plaintiff alleged the defendant physician misdiagnosed the decedent with gastroesophageal reflux disease four days prior to his death from cardiac tamponade as a result of a rare heart infection called purulent bacterial pericarditis. In closing arguments, plaintiff’s counsel asked the jury for $4,372,736 in economic damages and $750,000 in non-economic damages. The jury returned a verdict in favor of the defendant physician, finding that she did not deviate from the applicable standard of care.
