Christen Blackburn, special counsel in Lewis Thomason’s Nashville office, has been named to Nashville Business Journal’s 2021 40 under 40. There were over 300 nominations reviewed by 10 judges. The independent panel of judges comprised of past winners read and judged the nominee’s questionnaires, scoring each nominee. The top-scoring names were then selected as winners.
Blackburn is an experienced litigator and represents Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, professionals and governmental entities in a variety of practice areas. Blackburn regularly handles tort litigation involving transportation, products liability, professional liability and premises liability. She also dedicates a significant portion of her practice to employment litigation and workers’ compensation, defending employers against allegations of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
Among her many professional accomplishments, Blackburn was named The Best Lawyers® 2021 Litigation/Insurance Law “Lawyer of the Year” in Nashville. She is Immediate Past President of the Lawyers Association for Women, Chair of ALFA International’s Women’s Initiative Practice Group, and Community Relations Chair of the Nashville Bar Association.
