Edd Peyton Nominated for “Lawyer of the Year”
At the Best of the Bar event next Tuesday night, Al Harvey will not be the only lawyer from LT to be recognized. Edd Peyton has been nominated for “Lawyer of the Year” in the category of medium-sized law firms. We congratulate Commander Peyton on his nomination.
Mr. Peyton, special counsel and a Rule 31 Listed General Civil Mediator, is in the firm’s Memphis office. Mr. Peyton’s practice focuses on medical malpractice defense, personal injury litigation, insurance defense, employment, civil litigation, municipal litigation and construction litigation. Since joining the firm, Mr. Peyton has participated in a variety of matters in federal and state trial courts in Tennessee and Mississippi. He also has experience assisting small businesses and nonprofit corporations with a variety of needs.
Prior to his legal career, Mr. Peyton was an officer in the U.S. Navy, where he served in a variety of positions, including engineering officer aboard a destroyer, weapons officer aboard a guided missile frigate and admissions officer at the U.S. Naval Academy. Mr. Peyton is a commander in the United States Navy Reserve. He recently returned from deployment as a Team Chief supporting the Rule of Law mission in the Helmand province of Afghanistan.
