Giordano Elected President of Tennessee Council of School Board Attorneys

Giordano-4338The statewide law firm of Lewis, Thomason, King, Krieg and Waldrop, P.C., has announced that Lawrence F. Giordano was elected President of the Tennessee Council of School Board Attorneys at the Tennessee School Board Association’s 2014 Annual Convention in Nashville.  Giordano’s two-year term begins on January 1, 2015.

The Tennessee Council of School Board Attorneys is an arm of the Tennessee School Board Association that is dedicated to supporting the needs of attorneys representing the interests of public school boards across the state.  The Council provides a forum for the exchange of legal and education information and a connection to other attorneys practicing education law.

Giordano is a Lewis Thomason shareholder and director who engages in a statewide practice based in the firm’s Knoxville office. He is a member and co-chair of the firm’s Education Law and Health Care practice groups. Giordano received his law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1978.  In addition to his practice, Giordano is an adjunct Professor of Law at the University Of Tennessee College of Law where he teaches trial technique courses in the advocacy curriculum. He formerly held an appointment as an Administrative Law Judge for the State of Tennessee’s Department of Education.
