Julia Hale Receives William M. Leech, Jr. Public Service Prize

Julia Hale, who will be joining LT Knoxville this fall, was recently awarded the William M. Leech Public Service Prize for uncommon commitment to public service.

The Leech prize is presented each year by the law firm of Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis and the Nashville Community Foundation to honor the memory of the late William M. Leech, Jr., a 1966 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law and a partner with the Waller Lansden firm. During his life, Mr. Leech served with distinction as Attorney General and Reporter for the State of Tennessee and was an extraordinary lawyer who represented the best in the legal profession through his life-long commitment to public service.

Julia was nominated for the award by UT Law Professor Ben Barton, pictured with Julia.

Julia is a very worthy recipient of this prestigious award and we look forward to welcoming her to LT.
