Mitchell Panter has been named shareholder at Lewis Thomason. He is located in the firm’s Knoxville office.
Mitchell Panter’s practice centers on representing health care providers in professional liability matters and disciplinary investigations with Tennessee’s various health-related boards. He also assists providers with licensing and regulatory issues. In addition to his healthcare practice, Panter also represents businesses in complex commercial disputes involving trade secrets, restrictive covenants, and other breach of contract matters.
Panter is an adjunct professor at the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he teaches Civil Pretrial Litigation.
Among his many professional accomplishments, Panter has been named The Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for his work in Commercial Litigation and Health Care Law and a Mid-South Super Lawyers Rising Star since 2017. He is heavily involved in the Knoxville Bar Association having served as a past president of the Knoxville Bar Association Barristers and on the Knoxville Bar Association Board of Governors.
