Lewis Thomason is proud to announce Elle Shipley, in the firms’ Knoxville office, has been elected Secretary/Treasurer for the Knoxville Bar Association Barristers.
Shipley focuses her practice on estate planning, probate law, tax law, and property law. She is a graduate of William & Mary Law School where she took on the role of Notes Editor for the Journal of Race, Gender, and Social Justice, demonstrating her commitment to matters of societal importance. She volunteered her time and talents with the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, highlighting her dedication to community involvement. Prior to law school, Shipley obtained two bachelor’s degrees from Auburn University, majoring in English and History while minoring in French and Theatre. She also obtained a master’s degree in English from the University of Delaware, focusing on Late Victorian Aestheticism, showcasing her commitment to literary and cultural studies.
Among her many professional accomplishments, Shipley is a member of the National LGBTQ+Bar, as well as the Knoxville, North Carolina and Tennessee Bar Associations.
