Lewis Thomason mourns the loss of J. Randolph (“Randy”) Bibb, Jr., who passed away on January 9, 2026, after a brief illness. Randy was an exceptional trial lawyer whose career spanned more than four decades. For over 44 years, he devoted his practice to defense litigation, with a primary focus on products liability matters, earning the respect of colleagues, clients, and the courts alike.
Randy joined Lewis Thomason in 2009 and played an integral role in the firm’s growth and success. He served as co-leader of the firm’s Products Liability Practice Group for more than 10 years. A graduate of Vanderbilt University Law School, Randy remained a lifelong and proud Commodore.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Randy was known for his warmth, generosity, and enthusiasm for life. He was an avid car collector, but above all else, his greatest joy was his family. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the many colleagues whose lives and careers he influenced.
