Joseph Butler, Anne Morris, and Kaitlyn Phillips Join Lewis Thomason

Lewis Thomason, a leading law firm in Tennessee, is pleased to announce the addition of Joseph Butler, Anne Morris, and Kaitlyn Phillips to its Nashville office.   

Joseph Butler practices in the areas of corporate law, general civil litigation, health care law, and transportation law. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Tennessee Haslam College of Business.  While at the University of Tennessee he was the Vice-President of Administration/Finance of the University of Tennessee Interfraternity Council. Butler is a member of the Nashville Bar Association, the Beta Upsilon Chi Fraternity, Christian Legal Society, and Fellowship Bible Church.

Anne Morris practiced land-lord-tenant and creditors’ rights law in Nashville prior to joining Lewis Thomason where her practice will focus on general civil litigation. After graduating from Colby College, Morris spent four years in Washington, D.C., working at a trade association representing the video game industry, developing a strong foundation in policy, advocacy, and organizational strategy. Morris attended Belmont University College of Law where she was the President of the Entertainment Law Society and a Villanova Esports Negotiation Competition Finalist.

Kaitlyn Phillips practices in the transportation practice group at Lewis Thomason. While at Belmont University College of Law, she clerked for the Honorable Judge Cynthia Chappell in Davidson County Criminal Court. Phillips is the recipient of the Pro Bono Award for contributing 100 plus hours to pro bono work in the Nashville Community, Belmont College of Law Criminal Law Certificate, CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Trial Advocacy, and CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Advanced Trial Advocacy.  Phillips is a member of the Nashville Bar and Tennessee Bar Associations.
