ARMY WAR COLLEGE SELECTS LEWIS KING ATTORNEY FOR PRESTIGIOUS FELLOWSHIP

Lewis, King, Krieg & Waldrop, PC, attorney James B. Kyle has been selected for a prestigious fellowship with the U.S. Army War College.

Kyle, a Tennessee National Guard Lt. Colonel, will spend the majority of his fellowship in Washington, D.C., working with the deputy assistant secretary of the Army’s Department of Environmental Safety and Occupational Health. He will train as a senior leader with responsibility for strategic leadership to promote and defend national interests.

A graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, Kyle served nine years of active duty in the U.S. Army before returning to school for a law degree. In 2004, he earned his J.D. from the University of Tennessee, graduating magna cum laude. He was mobilized with the 278th Regimental Combat Team for Operation Iraqi Freedom III where he served as commander of Charlie Med Medical Co. in the Support Squadron, 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment. He was awarded the Bronze Star for exceptional meritorious service.

The U.S. Army War College is the Army’s ultimate professional development institution that prepares selected military, civilian and international leaders for the responsibilities of strategic leadership in a joint, interagency, intergovernmental and multinational environment. Kyle reported for duty July 28.
