Chris McCarty, a shareholder in Lewis Thomason’s Knoxville office, has been named Adjunct Professor at the University of Tennessee College of Law. McCarty will teach Education Law this fall at the law school.
With a passion for teaching, following college McCarty spent two years teaching 8th grade students United States history. He now focuses his law practice in the areas of education law, employment law, and civil litigation. McCarty is the immediate past President of the Tennessee Council of School Board Attorneys, has been named to The Best Lawyers in America©, Employment Law Management and Education Law, and is an elected member of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel, an international defense organization dedicated to the principles of knowledge, justice, and fellowship.
