Last week Chris McCarty, shareholder in the firm’s Knoxville office, participated in the 2023 Knox County Workforce Summit presented by Knox County, Knoxville Chamber, and presenting sponsor Regions Bank. The program discussed workforce issues and solutions in the region. Chris participated on a panel with the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development’s Labor Standards Unit and the Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration and discussed employer concerns including hiring minors, assisting individuals with disabilities, and overtime. Chris practices in the areas of employment law, education law and civil litigation and is a frequent speaker on employment matters.
