Lewis Thomason, a leading law firm in Tennessee, is pleased to announce that Christina Guyton and Marshall McComas have been appointed to the West Cancer Foundation’s Young Professional Advisory Board.
West Cancer Foundation is a Memphis -based nonprofit that provides free cancer services to those in need and funds research to improve cancer care. It created the junior board of directors to provide young professionals in the community with an opportunity to be part of fundraising, awareness and community support for West Cancer Foundation.
Christina Guyton is an associate in the Memphis office of Lewis Thomason where she focuses on Health Care Law and Transportation Law. While attending the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphrey’s School of Law Guyton was a Judicial intern for the Tennessee Court of Appeals in Jackson, Tennessee. Guyton is the recipient of CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Bar Exam Writing Fundamentals and was selected for publication in Volume 79 of the peer-reviewed Food and Drug Law Journal for her Note Too Many Cooks in the Kitchen—How the Proposed Consolidation of the Overlapping Governmental Agencies Tasked with Pesticide Regulation is Deficient in Resolving Food-Safety Concerns. Guyton is a member of the Memphis Bar Association.
Marshall McComas is an associate in the Memphis office of Lewis Thomason where he focuses on Health Care Law and Transportation Law. While attending the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphrey’s School of Law McComas worked as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable M. Ruthie Hagan of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Tennessee. McComas is the recipient of a CALI Award for Excellence in Legal Methods I & II, and the Dean’s Distinguished Pro Bono Award. McComas is a veteran of the United States Army’s 82nd Airborne Division.
