On March 8th, Chuck Cagle, Kaya Porter and William Scales gave a training session to Franklin Special School District on Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. The audience consisted of assistant principals, reading coaches, and school psychologists. Chuck, Kaya, and William taught about how school districts can best comply with Section 504 and other federal laws that address the rights of students with disabilities. The three-hour long training session consisted of lecture, scenarios for discussion, and Q&A.
