Justin Joy

Justin Joy joined the University of Memphis Cecil C. Hemphreys School of Law’s A.I. Week at Memphis Law where he was a panelist for a presentation on “Artificial Intelligence and Your Practice.”  AI week is devoted to examining how artificial intelligence is impacting the law such as AI’s role in legal practices, the integration of the technology at the judicial level, and ways that AI is changing legal education.  Justin Joy is a shareholder in the Memphis office of Lewis Thomason.  He leads Lewis Thomason’s Data Security, Artificial Intelligence, and Information Governance practice group and is the firm’s privacy officer.  He provides counsel to clients in a variety of industries in the area of information privacy and cybersecurity, including incident investigation and breach response management, regulatory compliance, privacy and security policy review and drafting, and cyber risk management.  Mr. Joy speaks frequently to various groups and organizations on the topic of information privacy and cybersecurity.
