Justin Joy Selected for Tennessee Bar Leadership Law Class of 2018

Each year the Tennessee Bar Association selects a group of outstanding young lawyers across the state for Tennessee Bar Associate Leadership Law (“TBALL”). The Leadership Law class attends seminars throughout the Volunteer State as they nurture their leadership skills with respect to ethical, professional, and community service issues.

This past week, the Tennessee Bar Association announced its Tennessee Bar Association Law Class of 2018, and we are pleased that Justin Joy was selected as a member of the class.

Justin is the latest in a long line of distinguished LT lawyers who have been selected for Leadership Law.

We congratulate Justin on being the latest LT lawyer to be selected for Tennessee Bar Association Leadership Law.

Joy-9936Mr. Joy has a variety of experience in various civil litigation matters including business and commercial litigation, insurance coverage disputes, healthcare liability defense, personal injury and business torts.  He also represents media organizations and journalists in defamation actions and other matters.  Mr. Joy has been involved in a number of jury trials to verdict.

Mr. Joy also provides counsel to clients in various industries in the area of information privacy and cybersecurity including security incident investigation, security awareness and policy drafting, cyber risk management and breach response management.  Specifically in the area of healthcare, Mr. Joy counsels covered entities on a variety of matters pertaining to HIPAA Privacy Rule, Security Rule, and Breach Notification Rule compliance.

Mr. Joy has earned the Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) credential through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). He is also a Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
