Laura Deakins New AWA President

At the January 29 Association for Women Attorneys’ (AWA) banquet, Laura Deakins will become president of the AWA, representing bold, millennial leadership.

“I’m hoping to be able to be a representative for the female legal community, especially in the current climate,” Deakins said. “It’s important for women to be able to band together and get things done in our way. It’s (AWA) a good platform to be on in this time on a national and local level.”
