Lewis Thomason is proud to announce that we achieved Mansfield Certification after a rigorous 18-month collaboration with Diversity Lab. From September 2021 to March 2023 we tracked, measured, and achieved diversity at all levels of our firm to qualify for this important and coveted certification.
The Mansfield Certification recognizes the structural changes, actions, focus, and hard work we have taken in the past and specifically the last 18 months to diversify leadership in our firm by broadening the slate of talent considered for internal leadership roles and increasing transparency with written and accessible advancement processes and role descriptions. The certification measures whether midsize firms have considered at least 30% women lawyers, underrepresented racial and ethnic lawyers, LGBTQ+ lawyers, and lawyers with disabilities for leadership and governance roles, equity partner promotions, formal client pitches, lateral lawyer hiring, and more. And while working to achieve these benchmarks, we also embedded transparency in our advancement processes through written leadership role descriptions and clearly defined pathways to leadership.
