Lewis Thomason’s shareholders have elected Mary Beth White, a shareholder in the firm’s Nashville office, and Kevin Baskette, a shareholder in the firm’s Memphis office, to the Board of Directors. Benjamin Jones and Robert Chapski were also reelected for another two-year term. They join current Board members, Rodney Fields, Janet Hayes, David Garst, Margaret Cooper Roney, and Joseph Clark.
Mary Beth White concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial and business litigation, with an emphasis on commercial transportation. White has successfully represented her clients at all levels of the court system. As a member of the Commercial Transportation Practice Group, White helped implement the firm’s rapid response program currently used by many of the firm’s clients. White was named Best Lawyers in America® 2022 Transportation Law “Lawyer of the Year,” Nashville along with being named to Best Lawyers in America®, Transportation Law. She is named to Mid-South Super Lawyers and listed in Who’s Who in America. She is a member of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (FDCC) and American College of Transportation Attorneys (ACTA) (both are members by invitation only). She is a graduate of the Tennessee Bar Association Leadership Law Class and ABA TIPS National Trial Academy. Kevin Baskette is a Supreme Court Rule 31 Mediator and experienced trial lawyer who practices in Mississippi and Tennessee in healthcare liability, construction defect litigation and transportation law along with professional malpractice, products liability defense and personal injury litigation. Baskette has successfully tried numerous civil matters to verdict in all trial levels of Mississippi and Tennessee in the Federal and State courts of both states as well as all appellate levels of Mississippi and Tennessee. Baskette has been named Best Lawyers in America® Personal Injury Litigation law “Lawyer of the Year in Memphis, along with being listed in Best Lawyers in America® Medical Malpractice Law – Defendants; Personal Injury Litigation – Defendants and Construction Litigation. He is named in Mid-South Super Lawyers. He is a Fellow of the Memphis Bar Foundation, a member in American Board of Trial Advocates and Leo Bearman, Sr. American Inn of Court.
