The LT Knoxville office sponsored a sporting clays team in the “Shoot for a Cure – Taking Aim at Breast Cancer” event held at the Chilhowee Sportsman’s Club in Maryville, Tennessee on March 27, 2015. The weather conditions that day were less than ideal but the team members still had fun and helped raise money for a very worthwhile cause.

Members of the Lewis Thomason team included:

-John Britton, Team Captain – LT Knoxville;
-Mikel Towe – LT Knoxville;
-Bill Rowland – an Account Executive for Shafer Insurance Agency in Knoxville (LT client);
-Jim Deanda – the IT Director for the City of Sevierville (LT client); and
-Mark Brimer – Vice President of Brimer Steel Erectors, Inc. (LT client).

The Knoxville Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is dedicated to combating breast cancer at every front.  Up to 75 percent of the Affiliate’s net income goes toward funding grants to local hospitals and community organizations that provide breast health education and breast cancer screening and treatment programs for medically underserved women.  The remaining net income (a minimum of 25 percent) supports the national Komen Grants Program, which funds groundbreaking breast cancer research, meritorious awards and educational and scientific programs around the world.
