LT Knoxville “Participates” in Fight against Cystic Fibrosis

The Lewis Thomason sporting clays team captained by John Britton, a shareholder in the Knoxville office “participated” in the 15th Annual Vulcan Materials “Make a Break-Thru for CF” sporting clays tournament held at the Chilhowee Sportsman Club in Maryville, Tennessee on April 21, 2017.

This event is put on by Cure Finders, a non-profit organization founded by husband/wife team, Jim Deanda and Barbara Gray. Jim is the IT Director for the City of Sevierville, an LT Knoxville client. More importantly, Jim and Barbara are the parents of two CF children.

Lewis Thomason was a Silver Sponsor of this event. The firm has sponsored this tournament in some capacity every year since it began.

This event is one of the largest charity sporting clays competitions in the southeast. Nearly 550 shooters and an additional 100+ volunteers from all over the southeast participated in the two-day competition.

The 2017 event raised approximately $179,500 to help fight cystic fibrosis. Throughout the 15-year history of this event, Cure Finders has raised over 1.8 million for that worthy cause.

Lewis Thomason is pleased to have been able to contribute to this event and to offer life and hope to the many children and young adults who are afflicted with this deadly disease.
