Mary Beth White Accepted Into Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel

Nashville TN – Mary Beth White, shareholder and chair of the Transportation Practice Group in Lewis Thomason’s Nashville office, has been inducted into the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (“FDCC”).

The FDCC is an invitation only trade association composed of recognized leaders in the legal community who have achieved professional distinction and is dedicated to promoting knowledge, fellowship, and professionalism of its members as they pursue the course of a balanced justice system and represent those in need of a defense in civil lawsuits. 

At Lewis Thomason, White concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial and business litigation, with an emphasis on commercial transportation. She has successfully represented her clients at all levels of the court system in both state court and federal court and has successfully defended a number of large, medium, and small motor carriers, other commercial motor vehicles, brokers, public transit systems, and drivers in state and federal court.  As a member of the Commercial Transportation Practice Group, White helped implement the firm’s rapid response program currently used by many of the firm’s clients.  She is a member of the Trucking Industry Defense Association, American Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, and the Nashville Bar Association.

Among her numerous professional honors, White was a recipient of the Nashville Business Journal’s “Top 40 under 40” and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s “Top 30 under 30,” both awards recognizing leadership in business professionals.  She is a graduate of the American Bar Association’s TIPS National Trial Academy and served on its faculty for five (5) years.
