Julia Hale, an associate in the Nashville office, reviews eateries and attractions off the beaten path. This month she took a detour and discussed the 20th Annual Julian Blackshear Jr., Scholarship Gala.
On the evening of February 7th, 2020, supporters of the annual gala from across the state of Tennessee descended upon the Holiday Inn Downtown Knoxville. Every year, the University of Tennessee College of Law’s Black Law Students Association organizes and flawlessly executes this annual event. I have had the pleasure of attending 4 of the past 5 years.
Attendees for the 2020 Julian Blackshear, Jr. Scholarship Gala included notable members of not only the Knoxville community, but the greater Tennessee legal community. They included our very own Mayor, Indya Kincannon, the President of the Knoxville Bar Association, Hanson Tipton and Memphis attorney, Will Perry.
