Lewis Thomason, a leading law firm in Tennessee, is pleased to announce the addition of Ryan Jernigan, Cameron Kirkland, and Caroline McCarter as associates in its Knoxville office and Ethan Pfister as an associate in its Memphis office.
Ryan Jernigan earned his J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law and his B.A., summa cum laude, in Political Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Jernigan externed for the Honorable Deborah C. Stevens in the Circuit Court of Knox County. He also served as a Staff Editor for the Tennessee Journal of Business Law. He focuses his practice on construction, health care, personal injury litigation and transportation. He is a member of the Knox County and Tennessee Bar Associations and the Tennessee Association of Construction Counsel.
Cameron D. Kirkland graduated from Tennessee Tech University with a B.S. in Business Administration with a Major in Accounting. After his undergraduate studies, Kirkland attended Lincoln Memorial University – Duncan School of Law where he obtained his J.D., magna sum laude. Kirkland, a Knoxville native, brings a broad skill set to his practice working in areas such as transportation, construction and insurance. He is a member of the Knoxville and Tennessee Bar Associations.
Caroline McCarter graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, B.A., summa cum laude, in English and obtained her J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law. While attending the University of Tennessee College of Law, McCarter participated in the Wills Clinic assisting clients with estate planning and conservatorship matters. She focuses her practice on education, employment, health care and probate matters. McCarter is a member of the Knoxville Bar Association.
Ethan Pfister earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law and his Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, in Economics from Milligan University. Pfister was Business Editor for The University of Memphis Law Review and a Board Member on the Memphis Law Moot Court Board. He was the winner of the University of Memphis Law In-School Mock Trial Competition, Judicial extern to the Honorable Mary L. Wagner, Shelby County Circuit Court and to the Honorable Mark S. Norris, United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee. His practice is focused on general civil law and health care law.
