Tennessee Bar Association Represents State

Tennessee Bar Association leaders were in Washington, D.C., April 9th – 13th, representing the state during this year’s ABA Day on the Hill. The delegation included LT’s Jason Pannu, current TBA president, and Sarah Sheppeard, TBA president-elect. Activities included meetings with U.S. Representative David Kustoff, Scott DesJarlais, Steve Cohen and Tim Burchett, as well as Senators Lamar Alexander and Marsha Blackburn. The delegation discussed increased funding for the Legal Services Corporation, maintaining the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program, as well as a presentation by Kirsten Jacobson on her connection to the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program and the important work of the Tennessee Alliance for Legal Services.
