LT welcomes three summer law clerks in our Knoxville office.
Sean Bright has recently completed his first year at the University College of Law. Sean is a West Virginia native who graduated from Bridgewater College (Bridgewater, VA) with a Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, in History. Before law school Sean was employed in a wide variety of jobs including a Staples warehouse worker, a Historic Interpreter for the Cass Scenic Railroad State Park in West Virginia, and a mechanic’s assistant for the State of Pennsylvania.
Ariane Sowa recently finished her second year at the University of Tennessee College of Law. Ariane was awarded her Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics from the University of California at San Diego. She began her post-college career as an intern for the Space and Naval Warfare System Center in San Diego, followed by service as a consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc., an American management and information technology consulting firm working with the U.S. Navy’s Information Assurance Division. After a number of additional consulting and analyst jobs, she was employed by a small California law firm as its virtual Office Client Manager. Most recently she has bene employed during law school as a Law Clerk by Pilot Flying J and as a Legal Intern by Oak Ridge National Laboratories, UT-Battelle. Ariane and her two children moved to Knoxville to attend school and be close to her parents. In her “spare time,” she serves as a volunteer at the Emerald Academy and at Blue Grass Elementary School.
Hayden Short returns to LT Knoxville having served as a law clerk last year. Hayden is currently completing his second year at the University of Tennessee College of Law. Hayden is from Sneedville, Tennessee, where his family still resides. He received his Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) from East Tennessee State University, summa cum laude. Before starting law school he worked for the Colgate-Palmolive Company as a chemist.
Sean and Ariane will clerk for LT Knoxville for 12 full weeks, and Hayden will clerk for us six weeks before moving to the State of Tennessee Attorney General’s Office as part of its summer clerkship program.
