Last month I tried to list the top ten movie lawyers of all time. Shortly after DICTA went to print, I found myself up late at night re-watching, Judgment at Nuremburg. I could not believe that I failed to include Maximillian Schell, as defense counsel Hans Rolfe, on my list of best attorneys in film. He probably makes my top three. For those unfamiliar, Judgment at Nuremburg is the semi-fictionalized account of the Judges’ Trial at Nuremburg in 1947 which sought to convict Nazi-era judges for war crimes.
