Tom is originally from Jonesboro, Arkansas, earning his J.D. from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law and his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Lyon College. Tom played baseball at Lyon College, where he was named to the American Midwest Conference (AMC) NAIA Academic All-Conference Team.

He later competed on the American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy Competition Team, where he was named a Top Advocate in the Boston Regional Competition.
Outside of the office, Tom enjoys fly fishing, fantasy football, and spending time with his wife and son.
