Brayden Jackson is an associate in Lewis Thomason’s Nashville office whose practice includes civil litigation in insurance, transportation, and education.  His practice also has a growing focus on sports law and the legal issues affecting athletes, schools, sports organizations, and businesses involved in the sports industry.

A former collegiate basketball player, Brayden brings a personal understanding of the demands placed on student-athletes and the increasingly complex intersection of sports, business, and law. He is particularly interested in legal issues involving name, image and likeness (NIL), contracts, endorsements and sponsorships, athlete representation, eligibility and regulatory matters, employment issues, business transactions, dispute resolution, and litigation.

As Brayden continues to develop his sports law practice, he draws on Lewis Thomason’s broader litigation, employment, business, education, and risk-management experience to help address the wide range of legal issues that can arise in the sports industry.

A Nashville native, Brayden graduated magna cum laude from Trevecca Nazarene University, where he was a member of the men’s basketball team and earned the GMAC Academic All-Conference Award and Presidential Scholarship. His experience as a collegiate athlete helped spark his interest in representing athletes and others involved in sports.  Brayden earned his J.D. from Belmont University College of Law, where he received a Bruin Scholarship. During law school, he explored his interest in sports and entertainment law through his involvement with the Entertainment Law Society, its Merchandising Committee, and the CMA EDU Leadership Program.

Outside of work, Brayden enjoys running, reading, spending time with his family, and following the sports industry.
