Tom Russell, Elizabeth Borsavage & Alex Daichman Join Lewis Thomason

Tom Russell has built a distinguished career representing clients in governmental liability, civil rights defense, and general civil litigation. He has long served as trusted counsel to municipalities, government entities, and school boards, handling complex tort liability claims, wrongful death suits, personal injury matters, and civil rights cases. Over the course of his practice, Russell has appeared before numerous state and county boards and commissions, earning a reputation for skilled advocacy and practical problem-solving. His extensive personal injury defense experience includes motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and construction-related claims.  He is licensed in both Kentucky and Tennessee.

Russell is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® for Civil Rights Law, and is a member of the Tennessee Screenwriting Association along with the Kentucky, Nashville, and Tennessee Bar Associations.

Elizabeth Borsavage focuses her practice on civil litigation, construction and real property, insurance, personal injury, transportation, and juvenile law. She has a strong focus on transportation and personal injury cases. Borsavage also has extensive experience in Juvenile law representing children in families in dependency and neglect proceedings. Prior to joining the practice of law, she worked as an insurance professional defending claims in litigation and complex losses involving bodily injury and property damage presented to trucking motor carriers, companies and drivers, as well as first and third party claims presented to commercial entities in various facets of the Cannabis industry throughout the United States.

Borsavage is a member of the Women’s Political Collaborative of Tennessee, Transportation Lawyers Association, International Cannabis Bar Association, and the Tennessee Bar Association.

Alex Daichman focuses his practice on employment, products liability, and transportation. He brings a strong background in both litigation and corporate counsel work. Before joining Lewis Thomason, Daichman served as General Counsel for Gold Spectrum CBD, LLC where he collaborated with senior leadership to update employment procedures and company policies, supported lobbying initiatives, and worked closely with finance teams to establish LLCs and draft business agreements, contracts, and leases.  A graduate of Rhodes College with a degree in history, Alex earned his J.D. from the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. While in law school, he was awarded the CALI Excellence Award for Torts and served on the Senior Editorial Board of the Memphis Law Review as Symposium Editor. In that role, he organized and hosted the 2023 Spring Symposium, “(How Much) Should We Pay Them?” which examined the evolving landscape of collegiate athletics.

Daichman is the recipient of the Congressional Gold Medal and a member of the Tennessee Bar Association.
