Chase Ford Morgan is Special Counsel in the Nashville office of Lewis Thomason. Formerly a Chancery Court Judge in Mississippi, Chase and her family relocated to Tennessee earlier this year.

Chase has extensive experience in general civil litigation, family law, probate matters, and appellate work. She has handled many types of personal injury, workers compensation, and negligence cases. Chase was also a certified mediator in Mississippi prior to her being elected to serve as a trial court judge. While a chancery court judge, all of her appealed decisions were affirmed, demonstrating a record of thoroughness and proper application of the law. She received extensive judicial training and education both at state-sponsored forums and at the National Judicial College. Her judicial experience, coupled with years of litigation and advocacy practice, enables her to effectively analyze issues and confidently determine strategies to achieve client-centered results. She is licensed to practice in Mississippi, and is a Tennessee Bar Applicant practicing pending admission pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 7, § 10.07.
While in law school, Chase excelled in moot court advocacy, winning both individual and group awards. Immediately following law school, she was selected by the Dean to be inducted to the Order of Barristers. She was nationally ranked as Top 10 under 40 in the area of Family Law by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys and served as the Chair for the Family Law Section of the Mississippi Bar. She later served for several years on the board of the South-Central Mississippi Bar Association, completing her tenure as President in 2023. Prior to being elected to the bench, Chase was an active litigator in both chancery and circuit courts, where she successfully tried numerous jury and bench trials. Chase has also appeared before administrative bodies and in juvenile courts. She brings a vast range of courtroom and litigation experience.
Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family. She also enjoys traveling and crafting.
